timing is everything

When you think about booking your photo session, think about whether you enjoy the daytime, golden hour, or night lights of the fair. Be sure to communicate your exact vision and this will help me cater to your dream photoshoot at the fair! If your aim is to capture golden hour, it's best to meet early so we may have time to scout areas you'd like to take photographs in and we don't waste too much time searching/walking around the fair.

props + rides

Use of props are definitely possible: food, prizes, games. Keep in mind that waiting in line for food or any other props during your shoot will be apart of your shoot time, I usually have back to back sessions and I like to be mindful of those scheduled after. Any props you would like to use, I suggest purchasing beforehand. The same goes for ride tickets. (Most times this isn't a huge issue) but just in case and especially in the kids rides area, it can be bit of a wait to purchase those tickets. Photos on rides are only possible on the carousel, the spinning swing set, or the ferris wheel.

Money saving tips

The Tulsa State Fair website has discounted prices up until the start of fall. If you it helps to save a couple bucks on entry or ride passes, I suggest to purchase those online sooner or later! Pre-purchasing single tickets are $12 (originally $15). Family/4 pack tickets are $40. The sooner you purchase, the better!

If you book your fair session with me before August 20th, you'll receive $50 off of your session :)

have fun!

Take time to plan your outfit, make a mood board, and get excited! Fair photos are my ultimate favorite because they are so colorful and hold great memories.

Keep in mind whether you prefer guided or posed photos, or something a little more candid/natural.

Whatever the case, choose what feels more "you" and gives you that comfortability. I am here to help and guide you!

disclaimer

If you plan to have any photos taken on rides or with food, please attempt to arrive to the fair grounds early to purchase tickets rather than during your session so that this does not buy into your shoot time.

Any use of props or food during the shoot will have to be purchased independently and are not apart of the session package.

Book your session before August 31st and receive $50 off!

FAQ

How much is a session and how long is it?

Fair mini's are originally $225 for 40 minutes. BUT if you book anytime BEFORE August 20th, you can book for $50 off of that price! A $75 non-refundable deposit is required to book.
If for some reason you are unable to proceed with your shoot, you can put your deposit towards another session with me in the future!

how will we meet?

There are two options: we can either meet at the Tulsa Drillers Statue in front of the Expo Center.
Or if you arrive to the fair before our scheduled shoot, we can share locations and meet up this way! Cell service can sometimes be wonky on the fairgrounds so just be aware. I have had no issues in the past meeting up using either method!

what is the booking process?

Inquire with me by filling out the contact form below. There will be a short questionnaire that helps me get to know you a little bit more. Once complete, you will be able to choose a time + date for your session and send your deposit which goes toward the total of the session.

Can you take photos on rides?

Yes and no. Some rides are a definite no go as far as roller coaster rides, anything fast/dangerous or needing to be buckled in. So far I have been able to and allowed to photograph in the carousel, ferris wheel, spinning swing ride and at the game booths. Every vendor running the booths are different in what they'll allow so this is NOT guaranteed!
But I've had success with those particular rides ^
